Barry Horn, of the Dallas Morning News, reports beginning next season, the NFL is set to add a third game to their Thanksgiving Day schedule. Having already cooked up deals with CBS, ESPN, Fox, NBC and DirecTV set to begin next year for an average of $3.7 billion annually through 2011, the NFL is looking for another deal. An eight-game, prime time Thursday and Saturday TV package probably will be introduced before the end of the season. The package is expected to kick off Thanksgiving night and end around Christmas.

i cannot make sense of this.

I would love it. A night game would be nice.

But a lot of people go back to work on Friday and wouldn't be able to watch it during the day.

The pros and college sports usually don't mix on their alotted days. Friday has been a college football and basketball day.

I need to clearify myself, it would be nice to have a Turkeyday Night game, or a Friday game to ease the gap between Thurs and Sun.

I know it is tradition that Dallas and Det host the games every year, but it would be great if they could give the Thanksgiving day game teams a bye week the Sunday before the Thanksgiving Game. It is so hard to prepare for that game in 3 days.

it sounds like what they want to do is have a thursday night and saturday night game on starting around thanksgiving through christmas. I like the idea more games on different nights means more fotoball I get to watch :thumbright:

Imagine if they made the Vikings a Thanksgiving Day Traditional Game......Oh Man....

I dont think I could work a Friday after turkey day ever again :cool:

I defidently like the idea of a Night game. Typically i spend thanksgiving day hunting, therefor i dont really get to watch much football.

It will be called the Festivus Bowl!
I am telling you guys Festivus is taking off, going mainstream.

I am down. I also want a tuesday night and a wednsday night game. I can never get too much football.
