NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told employees in a memo today that the league will eliminate about 150 jobs.
Apparently he couldn't fine enough players to pay the salaries of these employees...Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

I am sure all the money Allen has given is enough money to support 10 families for a year

I guess we better go out and build more stadiums before they have to lay any more off.

But really, after actually reading the article, the NFL network has way too many employees anyways. Do they really need 5 guys on the pregame show?

Re: NFL Lays Off 150 Employees
From different sources I read the NFL is worried about what the economy might do to the NFL next year but they're making good money right now.
I think this is kind of a dick move firing people who can be supported right before the holidays.
But oh well the NFL is fine with overpaying their "product" but not the guys behind the scenes who help make it happen.
I wonder if anybody is going to care about these guy's health and benefits like the player's union?
