CC is gonna be held out again no doubt with Rice and Emmit on the ballot. Carter has more TDs than any WR in the HOF, but now that argument will go away, which will weaken his chances further along down the road.

It is just a matter of when.
Rice is a first ballot HOFer, no doubt about that.
Smith is also a first ballot guy.
Emmitt and Jerry are tops at RB and WR.
Jim Marshall not making it in after this long is a disgrace IMHO.
The HOF is an individual honor that is an ultimate achievement for most players.
If I was Marshall, I would be pissed at the HOF process.
There are always going to be those guys that get snubbed.
I wish they would go back and grandfather a bunch of guys that were missed.
I am sure you could put a list of guys together that we missed because the voters now are from this generation and not the old one.
Over time, the mystique wears away on some of these players and the bar keeps getting raised.
This year:
Rice
Smith
Modell (before he is dead, the guy is old!)
???
My guess, that Haley with his rings gets in before
Randle or Doleman.
Out of the Vikings on that list, which one gets in? Rank them in order that you would like to see them go into the HOF.
1. Carter (he was the guy that made it fashionable to aim for 100 receptions in a season)
2. Randle (dominant DT!)
3. Doleman

I see Gary Anderson was part of the original 131 but didn't make the final cut.
Sure wish Jim Marshall would get in finally gosh darn it.

Wow ... the first thing I thought when I saw this list is "Lester Hayes isn't in the Hall of Fame? What the fuck?"
