The Vikings will not be involved, just confirmed on UK TV the "home" team will be one from Seattle, Kansas, New Orleans and Tampa, it looks like the "away" team will be from the AFC. The venue will be either London, Edinburgh or Cardiff.

UK, I think the league will chose a team that is well known over here like the 49ers or the Redskins, or one of this years more successful teams like New England or Dallas. I'd love to see the Vikes over here but any game will be better than that one we had, weather didnt really help though!

I was at the game this season and the atmosphere was good, I loved the Boo's when NY kept kneeling the ball!

But whoever comes over will see a sellout again. Might not be at Wembley because there was massive outrage about what happened to the pitch, but it was more down to the terrible weather than the players. Talk over here is of the game being at Twickenham, the national stadium for rugby union, impressive but nothing like Wembley!

I agree that that it is likely to be a team with a larger support here and on that more likely 49ers as they suck at present. Don't expect any of the current in form NFC/AFC teams that are top of the heap as the league will not want to chance an expected post season team to miss out and blame it on an overseas game - hence why the Saints and Chiefs have been mentioned
Question for both of you (and any other overseas fan) do you have any media links or data that might give us an idea of what teams are popular overseas?
This link is from 2005 but I would imagine it's still roughly the same now....

    Patriots 8.5%
    Dolphins 8.2%
    49ers 6.1%
    Redskins 5.8%
    Packers 5.6%

    Thanks.
A pretty good spread for almost all teams.

I saw that as well, my money is on Tampa or New Orleans to be the favourites. Given the number of people from the UK that go to Florida for holidays then I reckon it will be Tampa - and my missus said something about a roof being a requirement as well - or did she mis hear?
In which case I reckon that Cardiff would get the game.
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...
