    +1

And there in lies the problem. Like I said earlier, the call is subjective & decided by the refs. When the shoulder goes down the head goes down with it & depending where the ref is & his viewing angle, the flag can get tossed a lot.

In that play I agree. That's 15 yards against AD & nullifies a nice run & negates the yards on his quest to beat Dickerson's record. IMO, Refs will toss the flag on the side of caution, especially early in the season.

You wait, those calls will affect the outcome of a game(s).

NFL Ends Tuck Rule and Passes Ban on Helmet Crown Hits by Running Backs

Take a look at this AD highlight video and see how many of those could easily get a flag under the new rule. And how many of those flags will determine the outcome of a game. Refs are getting way too much responsibility.

Sucks to be a running back these days.

Singer is right, this is just another subjective rule that's at the discretion of the refs, AND it will decide games. The Vikings seem to end up on the short end of the stick more times than not when it comes to questionable calls as it is, so this new rule has me a little concerned.

I didn't watch that video, but watched another that showed the same thing. Keep in mind also that those highlight reels are showing a lot of long runs.

AD has had a shitload of shorter runs than that not shown on those highlight videos. By rule, anything after the first 3 yards is subject to the flag. How many times have we seen AD put his head down fighting to get those extra yards on those shorter runs?
