NFL considering ending season with division matchu

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8171ff2f&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

ORLANDO, Fla. -- In an effort to have teams use their top players through the final games of the season, the NFL is considering making the last week -- and possibly weeks -- consist of all divisional matchups.
    What about this one:
Goodell said the league actually is considering pairing division rivals in the final two games of the season.
if they're going by rivals, then likely it would be Pack vs. Bears to start, does that mean we get the lions? Weak

    I don't know if it'd be Bears - Packers.

The Vikings and Packers are the two best teams in the division. If you go with those two, chances are that we'll still be playing for something. Bears - Packers and Lions - Vikings wouldn't give you that.

Next to that, especially if Favre comes back, it'll be way more of a battle for honor, anyway. Both teams will play hard, regardless. I can see you just giving one up to the Lions by sending in back-ups.

Would be interesting. The best battles down the stretch was the ones within the divisions and it would be cool to see them actually have to play the final game to decide the divisions.
    We're bringing purple back.

I don't think it would be very effective. By week 17 most divisions will be decided anyway.
Worst case scenario would be the Vikings Packers are scheduled for week 17. The Vikings have a 2 game lead in the division, and rest starters. This rule has just ruined one of the best games of the season.
