They don't get to see the future that the titans would be so good and the lions and seahawks would be so bad.

Not to mention the halftime of the Lions game had Jesse McCartney. You have to ask yourself, what audience are they trying to cater to? The NFL demographic (Men) is not going to want to see the Jonas Brothers or Jesse McCartney... They're catering to 12 year old girls with those choices. Really makes you wonder who makes these types of decisions.

well no shit :P they might be able to play a tiny bit of piano or acoustic guitar, but they can't play shit at their shows thats for damn sure.

The games are not that bad. I mean going into the season the Cowboys vs. Seahawks looked like a biggie and in all honesty the Titans vs. Lions did not look that bad. The Lions did not look like they would be THIS bad and the Titans did not look like they would be THIS good.
I also like the Cardinals vs. Eagles game ... not too bad a game.
They can't control that the Seahawks sucked so bad this season and well, the Lions play every TG and if they suck, they suck. People are still going to watch both games, ratings are going to be the same, so why give us juicy ones today when they are getting the same ratings either way?

I don't care about the games, the half time performance choices are whats the absolute joke - seems more like they are targeting teenaged girls rather than a larger audience.
Ik its not that big of a deal but still annoys the crap out of me.

There are plenty of multi dimensional bands that could play halftime, although some are home with family, or in europe on tour:
