We should have gotten one for Birk.
Yet again the vikings get screwed though.
When was the last time we had a compensatory pick?

The compensatory picks are based on the 2008
free agency so we won't get any because we added a bunch of FAs and didn't lose anybody if we get a compensatory pick for Matt Birk it would be in the 2010 draft based on what we did with the 2009 free agency.

The pick Chicago got in round 3 was probably for us signing Berrian and I'd assume one of the Bengals six or pair of seven rounders was for us signing Madieu.

People have already commented ... but it is not that difficult to read how this thing works before you go whining about the NFL screwing us again.
We will get a pick next year for Birk based on his production this season and we will get one for Sharper ... though Sharper likely will not produce at a level garnering a pick ... and we definitely won't for Sharper if noone signs his sorry ass.
