NFC Team Reports: Offseason happenings
http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=403826Minnesota Vikings
If something happens to LT Bryant McKinnie -- i.e., a suspension for violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy, for his involvement in a brawl in February -- the team could be in a jam in terms of finding even a short-team replacement. Heading into the draft, the only other natural left tackle on the roster is Chase Johnson, a raw second-year player who did not play in 2007.

Like I said before, a trade with the Texans to pick up Ephraim Salaam wouldn't be a bad idea right about now.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Thanks for the read my friend.
More walking wounded (or healed wounded) the Bores will be counting on this year to be back not only 100% but to play back up to thier potential before an injury like this.DT Dusty Dvoracek,
Lets not forget what we learned in the Zone Blocking Thread this week.LT Chase Johnson
Our scheme has the OL (especially the G/T's) double teaming/working as a unit.
I am not so sure a guy coming in off the street would have the familiarity/cohesiveness that a guy would have that has been on the roster for a year.
Cook started last year and seemed to thrive after he was augmented by a better gaurd (Herrera) with a bit of TE help.
Me thinks Chase should be able to come in (one year of watching/learning) and give us some good reps next to one of the better G in the league.
Hell, if nothing else, they can help him out with a TE like they did with Big Mac all the time last year anyways.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Not sure Chase would be any/much worse and he has room to grow (I assume).
I guess you could almost lump me into the crowd that always cheers/wants the backup QB when it comes to McKinnie.
