You see all, this is exactly what I attemted to get across to all these Pats fans around me up here in New England in September and October, 2007.
If you take a close look at the NFL over the last 10 seasons, Championships are much more about who is peaking in late Nov. and Dec.
The Giants are NOT looking very scary anymore.
    Eli is struggling.
If you can run the ball and play solid "D", you have a legitamate shot.
That is clearly proving true with teams like the Vikes and Panthers, etc.
The 2000 Ravens went 6 consecutive games and won the SB.
The '06 Steelers were 7-5 after twelve games and so were the Gaints last season.
So were the Vikes this year.
I serious like our chances of winning out and the Giants losing out (Panthers, Vikes) and the 2 seed and a bye will be the Vikes.
(Not convinced a bye is always a good thing though.)
When/if we put two games together like we did yesterday I will believe we are peaking my friend..... ;D
    Think pos., my friend.
    We will!!!
I am always positive my friend.
Problem here is that my biggest knock on this coaching staff of late has been thier inability to keep the team consistent.
Again, a nice showing against the Falcons will go a long way in showing us that thier system issues have been fixed with respect to getting this team ready to execute the scheme/weekly game plan.

Does anybody still thing the Giants are going to be resting their starters when we play them?

I for one want them to be playing the full roster because I think our defense is going to give Eli many problems and I don't believe they can stop AD/Taylor.

That crowd got strangely quiet last week I think.

Can the Bears make the playoffs as a wildcard if they win out?

They can still win the division if they win out & we lose out.

    As far as the WC race;

For the Bears to win one of two wild-card berths, they need a series of improbable events to occur. They're fifth in the standings, trailing Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Dallas and Philadelphia, and they need help from places they're unlikely to find it.

The Bears would need the Buccaneers to lose at home to San Diego and Oakland or have the Falcons swept by Minnesota and St. Louis. When you're counting on help from the Chargers, Raiders and Rams, you're playing fantasy football. Then there's the issue of jumping the Cowboys and Eagles....

I think Eli is going to have flashbacks to last year's game against the Vikes...

Re: NFC Playoff Picture: Giants are miles ahead of the competition

I really want the Giants to lose upcoming game against the Panthers. It means we control our own destiny and we would only have to beat them in week 17. It requires a win over the Falcons of course. It also means there's no way in hell the Giants would rest their players in the last game with the 2nd spot on the line.

Carolina plays New Orleans and i've got more confidence of us beating NY than the Saints beating Carolina.
It would also mean we can give Pat an extra week of rest.
