    Re:The NFC North FA Thread

The Vikings don’t seem to even have any interest in anyone. Perhaps someone should tell them they were just one bad Judas pass away from a possible trip to the Super Bowl.

Wait, we’re Packers fans – nevermind. Nobody say anything.

    Re:The NFC North FA Thread

First, let's review where we stood after the 2009 season. NFC North quarterbacks threw more touchdown passes than the combined totals of any other division, while also totaling the third-most passing yards among divisions. Those figures marked significant elevation over 2008, as you see in the charts below.
Minnesota's Brett Favre combined for 713 yards and five touchdowns over two games against Chicago, and neither he nor Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers threw an interception to the Bears' defense. Detroit, meanwhile, finished last among NFL teams in total pass defense, but its performance against the Vikings and Packers was even worse.

You're right. Can't believe I forgot to update that. Again, no edit button, so you'll just have to imagine that one in there. Lol.
Didn't you hear, theres a edit button for use right after you post.

JK my friend. I am sure that the edit function will be the first thing that Vesty has the developers address so that cats can update threads like this.

Anyway, Thanks for posting the updates. How you feeling about the loss of Kampman?
Great. I was afraid that our FO would get some crazy ideas about resigning him if no one else offered him elite money. Glad that he got the deal that he did from the Jaguars. I absolutely love the guy, though, and I hope that he comes back strong in Jacksonville. This opens up the door for us to draft an OLB/DE soon in the draft, if he's there.

    Re:The NFC North FA Thread

It has probably already been mentioned, but I believe that we are still able to sign released players....

    Westbrook, Tomlinson, Jones, Buchanon....

    Re:The NFC North FA Thread

A little update for people who haven't been following this thing closely.

    Vikings

    - Interested in RFA Marlin Jackson. Didn't get tendered, so they could sign him, even with the final 8 rule prohibiting them from signing an UFA.
    - Lost Chester Taylor to FA. He later signed with the Bears.
    - Due to Taylor signing somewhere else, the Vikings can now sign one UFA.
    - Lost Artis Hicks to FA. He signed with the Redskins.

    Lions

    - Traded a 5th and a 6th to the Browns for Corey Williams.
    - Signed Kyle Vanden Bosch. Vanden Bosch played for Schwartz in Tennessee.
    - Signed Nate Burleson to a 5 year deal.
    - Let starting CB Philip Buchanon go.
    - Released Grady Jackson. Started 13 games in 2009.
    - Traded a 5th and a 6th for Atlanta's 5th and CB Chris Houston.
    - Signed FA CB Jonathan Wade.

    Bears

    - Signed Julius Peppers.
    - Signed Brandon Manumaleuna.
    - Signed Chester Taylor.
    - Expected to trade Greg Olsen, who "doesn't fit Martz's offensive scheme".

    Packers

    - Re-signed FA Clifton. Got heavy interest from Redskins.
    - Lost Aaron Kampman to FA. Signed with Jaguars.

I wanted to just update it. There's no edit button, so I'll just redo the list. The Lions keep on making moves.

    Re:The NFC North FA Thread

Thanks for the update, I know all this stuff but its nice to have it layed out like this. And the vikings are able to sign another FA due to the loss of Hicks. You pointed that out for taylor, makes sense to put it for hicks.
I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. I am an emotional 19 year old Viking fan and I expect you to adjust your expectations from my posts.

Thought I'd throw some stuff in there. Didn't so much research on the rest of the NFC North teams, though. =)

    - Sign Rhys Lloyd. Potential kick off specialist.
    - LaDainian Tomlinson to visit the Vikings Thursday, March 11.
    - Resigned CB Benny Sapp.
