Thread: Are the Motor City Kittys for real this year?

I have a feeling they'll find a way to screw it up the way do every year, but with their offence likely reved away up with a big time Martz passing game, does anyone think that the Lions will be a tougher opponent for us this year?
I prefer our grind it out NFC North style but do you think Detroit looks improved? Better yet, does anybody care!

If Detroit is indeed improved, then of course I would care!
It's hard to imagine anything getting much better though.
They seemed to "improve" every year but things never pan out in their win/loss collumn.
I do think they will see improvement this year.
In fact, I wouldn't be completely surprised to see the Vikes drop one to them this season.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

The Lions are on the verge of being for real every year, but still manage to screw it up time and time again.
As long as Millen is still part of the organization, I don't ever think they will climb out of the toilet.

They have had the talent to make things work there for quite a few years....its just a case of them putting it together and the past shows that they aren't that great at doing that.

Of course I care, the Vikes have to play them twice a season.

The Detroit offense looks to be potentially devastating because of the multiple-WR, single-back sets which Martz will be able to employ.
The knock on Kitna has always been that he throws too many picks.
If he can control that and they can keep him upright, I can see 30 TDs for him this season, easy.
12-15 for Roy, 8-12 for CJ, and another 10 scattered amongst Furrey, Jones and whoever else they employ.

Scary to think about it.

OTOH, their defense pretty much blows monkey chunks.
They gave up 3 rushing TDs to Artose Pinner for fuck's sake!
I predict lots of 35-28 losses/wins for the Lions in 2007.

This much is an absolute - they will be more fun to watch than the Vikings, even if the Vikings win 10 games and Detroit only wins 4 or 5.

I saw this title and thought, same old question again this year.
I am predicting failure this year because every time I think they're roster has a chance the blow it like Del Rio hunting the elusive Camel Toe.

As long as Millen is there, they will be crap.
