    Moss and the Raiders?

Is Moss going to help the Raiders over their slump.

What else is it going to take(besides Moss)?

Remember, the Raiders were just in a Superbowl recently against the Bucs. What has changed for Better and for the Worse?

I think that Turner was a good fit for their team. He will provide the leadership and the attitude for the Offense.

What is lacking is the D. They have talent but need to find some cohesiveness. If the Raiders can take the Bolts 2 times this season, I predict they win their division.

The other thing is Collins will have to be effective this season. Which you would think that that would be a hard thing for him to screw up. The Raiders will have an awesome line. Jordan will be a ???? but he did well a couple games for the Jets last year.

What would be neat is if we beat the Raiders in the Super Bowl!!

well, one thing hasn't changed, they still need a defense. they're passing game just got better, but their defense just got a little worse.

They must have had a plan when they traded away Harris. They must have someone in the wings. Or see a prospect in the draft. They improved the O by getting a RB and a WR.

The D was good but the last few years, have struggled. Since getting Sapp that is. That is great. I hope Sapp continues to be frustrated in OAKtown.

I think the big change was Gannon.

Also I think the age of the team as a whole was old and when they made it to the SB they saw it as thier "Chance" when they lost it took the wind out of thier sails.

Moss will improve their team. But I think the most benificial thing about him being their is just his presence alone will blow wind back into the Raiders sail. It will be refreshing for them and I think they will be like a monster revived from a slumber they will make some noise this year.

Gannon isn't their guy anymore, Rice and Brown are old and gone and they lost a fair amount of defensive players from that Superbowl year.

    Re: Moss and the Raiders?

The additions of Moss at WR and Jordan at RB will give the Raiders the illusion of new life, but a medicore QB and a poor defense will shatter that illusion mid-way through the season.

I hate to say it but they'll become the Vikings of the past few years...an offensive juggernaut with a shabby defense...which will cost them games.

Just wait till Moss gets tired of Davis and the Raiders. Oh what fun that will be.

    Re: Moss and the Raiders?

I think the Raiders offense has serious potential to be a top 5 or 8 offense this year and think Moss will put up HUGE numbers, maybe the best of his career. Most receivers have their career years between 28-32, which is what he is entering.
I do think their defense is a little week, but they could find themselves winning that division still, but I think I like the Cheifs to bounce back.
I could also see Moss being released after three years when he starts getting pissed at the lack of defense and his cap number starts to hurt very bad (the Raiders are not run very fiscally sound) So here it to Moss making it back to the North to finish his career and go out as the best receiver ever. Would be a nice touch to see a more mature Moss back in Minny ... dare to dream ... I know
