    Minnesota Vikings dream team

Ah Alderman was an O-lineman who played with the Vikings from 1961-1973

    He is a 6 time Pro-Bowler 1963,1964,1965,1966,1967,1969

One of the best in my opinion. He had a temper, I've read some interesting stories of what he used to do to guys in the trenches. And we think holding and illegal hands to the face are bad..................

CBs-Carl Lee, Antoine Winfield, Audrey McMillian
    FS-Paul Krause
    SS-Joey Browner, Corey Chavous

    Your thoughts?
Don't forget about Tommy Kramer, Ed marinaro, Ron Yary(hall of fame-Mc Kinnie needs to play many more years to live up to him) , Jim Marshall, Joe Senser, and kicker Fred Cox.

Would put Joe Senser ahead of Jimmy K, Joe did more in his career than Jimmy K has to this point.

Some players that should have consideration for this list.

    Mick Tingelhoff
    Bobby Bryant
    Ed White
    Karl Kasulke
    Jeff Seimon
    Nate Wright

And all time best GM Jim Finks
He built the Viking teams that went to the 4 Superbowls and then he went to Chicago and built the Bears team that won the superbowl.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Del Rio, you must be a Conrad Dobler fan too! I will admit that a mean streak can be a valuable asset (Kyle Turley is another player with one). However, Ron Yary is the most logical pick for the list at tackle.

Ron Yary made one more pro-bowl then Alderman.

plus he played when the team was really getting noticed and packed with extreeme talent in the mid 70's

Alderman played in the dark ages. And in my book was more benificial to his team.

Yary kind of took the torch from Alderman in that his carrer took off as Aldermans was ending.

But either one would be a great asset. I wouldn't mind having both of them on my team.

You sold me on Alderman, Del Rio! Sign me up for the Alderman for HOF petition...seriously. The more Vikings in the Hall, the better.

I'm surprised he hasn't been on the ballot at least. But then again the 60's had it's share of huge names. And OL don't get credit today let alone in the past.

Hope you don't think I was bagging on Yary  I'm just biased. Yary was one of the best in my book too.

Other Good RB = Honorable mention. Rickey Young and Ted Brown also Terry Allen.

I think TA if healthy would have made a run for the RB yds record now held by R.Smith.

We have a history of letting linemen go to other teams that if they would have played longer for us would have made that list. I think Elway should have sent us a Thank You card.
