Re: Michael Vick indicted by Grand Jury

Vick has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
That means that that prosecution proved to the grand jury that a crime has been committed, and that there is a reasonable reason to believe that Vick committed the crime.
If the federal government didn't think they had enough evidence to convict, they wouldn't have gone after the indictment already.

Re: Michael Vick indicted by Grand Jury

I've said it before and I will say it again, Mike Vick is a blight on the Tidewater Community as a whole.

Our local TV has been giving this alot of coverage and I am about sick of it, however, it appears that he could get as much as 3 years and a 250,000.00 fine.

More shocking is that it also appears that there are more charges coming.

Takes a bit to load (first clip) but it might interest a few of you what the local coverage has been on this.
Three other clips if your interested on the page as well.

During this whole off season there have been a couple of people who have been saying that Vick is a victim of circumstance, and claiming that there was never any hard evidence against him, yada yada yada.
I wonder if any of them drafted him in their fantasy football league?

Thanks to the Smoking Gun we can read his indictment.
To my surprise, his self chosen alias of Ron Mexico wasn't listed on the form, at least I didn't see it.
He had the following aliases though:

    Purnell A. Peace aka P-Funk & Funk
    Quanis L. Phillips aka Q
    Tony Taylor aka T
    Michael Vick aka Ookie

When he used the name Ron Mexico there was a rush to buy his jersey with that name on it and the NFL put a stop to it.
I bet there are people ordering his other aliases for his jersey right now...the NFL will put a stop to that asap.

    Gawd I hate Ron Mexico.
I want to piss on his grave.

NFL Total Access is reporting it as possibly 6 yrs. & a $350,000 fine. They said at one of the fights, Vicks dog lost & he shelled out $23,000 cash to pay the winner on a bet.

I think Madden came over and showed him what Vick will be getting in prison.

Re: Michael Vick indicted by Grand Jury

If Roger Goodell remains true to what hea has done already, Vick will be suspended, the question is for how many games.

I have to wonder if the Falcons will use this to try to get out of the deal they signed "Ron Mexico" to? Or maybe the fact that Joey Harrington is the back up keeps him on the squad? Or maybe they sign dante??????
