McQuarters cut by Bears

Looks like McQuarters is available...think that he might fit in here as a backup safety???

I thought this happened several weeks ago. I don't think we need him, personally. He makes plays, but he gives up a lot of them too.

He was decent on returns, wasn't he? Aren't we still needing someone to fill that position? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then it seems to me, he'd be a great option...especially on the fast Dome turf.

If there's a "no" answer to EITHER of those questions, though, then kindly disregard this post. LOL

The bears released R.W. and I was wondering what you guys think about signing him (if the price is right) to play in the Nickel and cutting our ties with Williams. I like Williams but if he is not going to accept his role it may be time to look in another direction.

McQuarters made some plays last season...he also has a habit of giving up big plays. That's part of the reason the Bears simply released him.

I don't see a need for him here.

The only reason we even consider him would be as a return man. But I don't see it.

Nah - Williams is a better corner than McQuarters anyways. Don't worry - Brian Williams will be back for training camp and he'll be fine - he might not be really happy but he'll still play.
