Re: Was the McNair deal more of a steal than the Culpepper deal?

McNair said everything you do throughout your career doesn't mean all that much if you can't get a ring..

    Pep and Mcnair= 0 rings

They both get fresh starts.. Pep will do better though.. And play longer.. But he costed a bit more to get..

McNair is a far better decision maker than Daunte but he is a broken down QB body wise and the OL in BAL is not great so I wish the best of luck to McNair.

Speaking of Culpepper. Did anybody watch Sportscenter today? It showed video of Culpepper running around and they were saying he was going to 100% at the beginning of the season. :???:

    Thanks Josdin

Once again though MN, Pep's physical abilities were never in question, his desire to be in Minnesota and his ability to win were.

Also, I think the Pep trade (if it works out for the Dolphins and he plays well again) will be more of a steal than the McNair trade. If McNair were 2-3 years younger, and the Ravens got him for a 4th round pick, then the pickup would be just as good as the Pep deal, but I think Pep has a longer shelf life than McNair.

I didn't even realize that McNair was traded to the Ravens.. I haven't been on the computer that much recently so I was in the dark until I read this thread..

I will go with the McNair trade.. Culpepper didn't play that great even before his knee injury, so he will have alot more to prove then McNair will.. I hope they both do well on their new teams, just not when they play the Vikes..

Yah I'm know we weren't questioning his physical abilities. I just was amazed to see him running around when it was pretty doubtful he was going to play this season. I'm happy he's gone for sure though.

    Thanks Josdin

Even though I think McNair's days are over. Titans should have kept him cause if Vince Young starts this year he's going to be demolished.

A five year deal is way too long for him.
