Well, now we know where Childress gets his bad Coach to Player relations.

As for the decision to cancel the news conference last Friday, Reid insisted it was his choice because he wanted McNabb to focus on his rehab for a knee injury sustained Nov. 19.
Sounds like Reid doesn't want McNabb talking to the media (remind you of anyone?). How is a news conference going to affect his rehab anyway? That's just absurd.

And what's with injured players not being allowed to travel with the team? Are you kidding me? Is this common among NFL teams?

    Especially your franchise quarterback!!!
Seems kind of dickish to me, but I suppose if that is the teams policy (seems stupid to me) then you can't be showing favoritism.

I had to go all the way to page six to find this one.

Donovan McNabb to the Lions for Second Overall Pick?

Donovan McNabb seems like a nice guy. You'd hate to see something like this happen to him. Getting shipped to the Detroit Lions is like getting sent to Leavenworth. But that's the rumor that's being circulated, both in the Ann Arbor News and in Miami during Super Bowl festivities, that the Eagles could send McNabb to the Lions for the second overall pick in the draft, and in turn use that pick for Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

Got to read the rest of it!

That seems highly unlikely. The Eagles could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender in 2007, and bringing in a rookie quarterback would be a rebuilding move. The real story here may be how hungry NFL fans are for any kind of information about their teams. The Eagles have been out of it for two weeks, and the Lions have been out of it for six years. Fans of both teams just want to hear something juicy, and McNabb to the Lions definitely fits.
    Rumors that make good fodder!
    Writers have to know this.
Fans can't prove or disprove it until something happens, and by that time, it will be forgotten.

They recently were interviewed, both reid and mcnabb(btw reid's 2 sons were both arrested, one with guns and admissions about heroin) and they both appeared pretty firm about mcnabb not going anywhere. I'm still hoping though.
Wait, if there's cat food in this bag............................
