McNabb gives media silent treatment

McNabb gives media silent treatment

Geoff Mosher of the News Journal reports The Eagles' quarterback didn't address the media and, according to the team's public relations staff, doesn't intend to before camp ends Sunday.

McNabb usually conducts a press conference on the first day of the first minicamp. This time, he skipped out, leaving reporters to question head coach Andy Reid about McNabb's current feelings about the team....

The Philly media and the fans who have booed him since his name was called in the draft.

Philly has hated him from the start. He should really demand a trade to us

FYI:
As an Eagles fan, it is annoying when a minority of idjit fans come to represent us.
Most here, including the diehards, recognize that McNabb has been great - not perfect - but a great QB for us and for a long time.
However, the media here are absolute pieces o ish.
When McNabb shunned them the major media outlets used it as an excuse to question McNabb's "leadership."
WTF.
By not speaking to the media he's supposedly exercising poor leadership by setting a bad example for the young guys.
Westbrook did the same thing.
Not a word from the media.

Should read, "McNabb give tards silent treatment".
People are digging deep when that's a story.

That is all well and good, but are you sure it is a minority? Your town is well know for having more fans who are assholes than any other in the league. As with any team there are going to be great fans and I am guessing you are one of them, but it is more than a scant few who have given Philly it's reputation. Section 700.

Yea Im from Philly too and I would say that many fans around here rag on McNabb alot.
Its sickening how insane it gets to be.
One week he is considered as one of the top QBs in the league by the public but a week later he is proclaimed as being weak (even to the point where some called for Kolb)!!!

I think one of the main reasons he may be upset is that he wants to win now.
He won't be around forever.
So he wants weapons, which the Eagles got, but instead of getting a proven probowl WR, they spend that same 1st rounder on a rookie who may or may not pan out.
"There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Yes, its a minority - a very loud minority and the talk radio guys are part of that because that is how they earn a living, but its still a clear minority.

What reputation?
