Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan told reporters Friday that Rex Grossman will start Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, and six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb has been benched for the remainder of the season, barring injury.

The shocking move isn't sitting well with the players.

"The guys are extremely pissed," one Redskins player said.

Shanahan said John Beck would be the second-string quarterback, making McNabb No. 3. Shanahan also said it was his priority to evaluate the other quarterbacks on the roster and that he already had seen what McNabb can do.

I saw that. Shanahan's been there one year and totally screwed up that locker room. At least Chilly took 5 years.

McNabb hasn't played well this year. Looks like he got old all of a sudden.

But Shanahan has gone nuckin' futs. Glad we didn't get him for a coach.

Would McNabb play for Frazier?

We could potentially have a good thing going at a reasonable price due to Shanahan's Chilly-like behavior.

This. Considering the Vikings will have.....Joe Webb on the roster for QB come March. McNabb could give the Vikings 3-4 years to develop a qb (finally).

McNabb has looked bad this year, but what does he have in Washington? Nada. No Rb (although Torrain shows promise but has been injured), no wr, no defense. He comes to Minnesota hes got Super Stud, Rice, Harvin, Shank and one helluva defense (assuming the Vikes can sign everyone), and hopefully Leslie Frazier.
