Raiders | McCown will start Week 1
Wed, 5 Sep 2007 14:55:07 -0700
Updating previous reports, Michael Smith, of ESPN, reports Oakland Raiders QB Josh McCown will start Week 1.
After McCown fails, that makes it more likely that Daunte will be the starter when the Raiders come to town in November!
=Z=
Week 11, which means the 10th game for both teams.
It would be nice to see Pep play against us.

What happens if he doesn't sign?
Does he become a FA next year?Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Still may or may not get done!
But I am assuming that it will get done and he will be in a uniform in the next few weeks.
The way I see it, is if McC or DC do well, then the Raiders get the upper hand on the negotiations.
IMHO it is in Russell's best interest to sign before DC starts playing.
Whether the Raider really want DC to be in Raiderville or not, they can use that as leverage against him.
I think that McC is leverage for Russell.
LOL!
Russell has had the playbook since draft day (I hope).
He just doesn't have timing with his WRs and the live game experience from preseason.

I am not a Culpepper fan and could care less if he won the starting spot, but I wonder, based of those stats, why McCown is starting.
Was Daunte's TDs against 2nd and 3rd string defenses?

He'll have a few of those too.
I hope he starts against the Vikings and his fragile ego is beaten into an unrepairable mess.
He'll have to go to counseling just to have enough confidence to have a paper route.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain
