    Greg Cook with the Cincinnati Bengals had a great rookie season, but because of a hit that injured his shoulder he only threw one more pass after his rookie season.

    Ben Roethlisberger had a great rookie season, but his team was Superbowl ready when he stepped in. The Falcons have a good team, but I doubt they are a Superbowl ready team.

    [glow=orange,2,300]Greg Cook[/glow]

    Games played: 11

    Completions: 106 of 197: 54%

    Yards: 1,854 with an average of 9.4 yards.

    Touchdowns/Interceptions: 15TD, 11INT
    That's complete BS... on all fronts: Greg Cook had a moderately good rookie season... to bring him up in this conversation is silly.

    And, although you may think the Steelers were "Super Bowl Ready" as you put it, when was the last time they made the SB before Rothlesburger came in?

    What was their record before they went 15-1 with him? (by the way, it was 6-10... I guess that's SB ready?)

    Who is STILL the Pittsburgh Steelers QB?

    Who is, every year, touted as one of the best QBs in the league?

    Sorry bud, but Big Ben is a great QB and belongs here WELL before Greg Cook...
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

    This is in no way saying he will be the best Quarterback ever. The facts do not lie, Matt Ryan is thee best Rookie QB ever and he hasn't even finished the season yet. Lets compare him to another Quarterback who had a phenomenal rookie season: Dan Marino and I threw in a state favorite in Fran Tarkenton.

    [glow=red,2,300]Matt Ryan #2 (2008)[/glow]

    Completions: 277 of 366: 62%

    Yards: 2,940 with an average of 8.0 yards

    Touchdowns/Interceptions: 14TD, 7INT

    [glow=teal,2,300]Dan Marino #13 (1983)[/glow]

    Completions: 173 of 296: 58%

    Yards: 2,210 with an average of 7.5 yards

    Touchdowns/Interceptions: 20TD, 6INT

    [glow=purple,2,300]Fran Tarkenton #10 (1961)[/glow]

    Completions: 157 of 280: 56%

    Yards: 1,997 with an average of 7.1 yards

    Touchdowns/Interceptions: 18TD, 17INT

    Look at any Quarterback who has played a great rookie season and Matt Ryan is simply playing better. I believe we are witnessing the best rookie QB of all time. I challenge you to find a better rookie season.

    ~ERIK~

    Ok lets check out Ben Roethlisberger

    [glow=gold,2,300]Ben Roethlisberger #7 (2004)[/glow]

    Completions: 196 of 295: 66%

    Yards: 2,621 with an average of 8.9 yards

    Touchdowns/Interceptions: 17TD, 11INT

    Take note that Matt Ryan isn't finished with the season yet... The only real thing Ben has over Matt is the Average yards and completions.

    Not one wek from this Sunday he won't be!!!
    Go ahead and print it!!!
    Oh, wait a minute, you just did.

    I didn't say Greg Cook had a better year the Big Ben... I am just saying i think after this season Matt Ryan could beat all of Big Bens records (except for wins). I was just throwing out another QB with a great rookie season. That aside, having a great rookie season doesn't mean he will have a great career.
