Martz's genius is at the level of Meathead's
The self appointed genius is taking a page from the Mensa Tice 'randy ratio' playbook.
At some point people will realize that Martz is not as much of a hero as he would like to believe he is.

This will certainly come as good news to tight end Vernon Davis, who hinted during minicamp that he was frustrated with not getting the ball much during the 49ers' forgettable five-win 2008 season: Mike Martz has big plans for San Francisco's first-round pick in the 2006 draft...Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Martz is overrated for sure... He inherited a great team in the Rams... destroyed it. I say, bring him back to the Lions. I think he did a great job there."C" wrote:

from wikipedia:
"During the seven years in which Martz was involved with the Rams, the team went to two of the franchise's three Super Bowls. His record of 55-5 with a lead any time in the 4th Qtr [917 winning %] and 26.5 pts a game as a head coach were the best of all time at the end of 2005 season by any coach in the history of the NFL."
and
"The Rams are 15-28 since Martz left."
He did get a Matt Millen team 7 wins more than any year since 2000. So I don't think you can blame the lions problems solely on Martz.
Not calling him a genius but his football knowledge probably dwarfs the combined knowledge of everyone on this site.
