Breaking News Alert on ESPN.com, Chargers fire Marty Schottenheimer after 14-2 regular season.
So what does everyone think about this?
A long time coming for Marty or a big mistake on the part of San Diego?

Yes, they had been talking about his returning not that long ago.
Surprising to me that they would go back on that...Especially after such a great year.

Wow...I don't agree with that AT ALL. The guy went 14-2 and took this franchise from the toilet to the top of the league. I feel bad for ol' Marty.

How will this help a 14-2 team's morale having to learn from somebody new? I hope this doesn't turn a 14-2 team into a 4-12 team.

Maybe they would be interested in a head coach that has designed a Kickass Offense. Anyone know where they could find such a man?

I wish we would've fired Tice this year.
I would love to have Marty on our sidelines.
The guy went 14-2 in the AFC and he gets canned.
That's absolutely rediculous.

Any chance we can fire the Chiller and pick him up? Demote Frazier and make Marty our DC? Then we can promote him to HC next year!
