Ravens: Hauschka is history

Though no one can be shocked to hear that Steve Hauschka was released by the Ravens today, I also don't think anybody should be happy about it. He's a good kid and he just had his NFL dream shattered, so there is nothing to celebrate here.
This is the point where everybody knows that the Ravens should never have let Matt Stover get away, even if the logic of moving ahead with a young kicker made perfect sense last summer. The fan emotion attached to the situation is further magnified by the fact that Stover will be coming home on Sunday in an Indianapolis Colts uniform. Talk about your worst nightmare if you're an old Colts fan here in Baltimore.

Re: Marrdro's favorite kicker cut
lol gotta love that Marrdro cat
LONGwell is king!
Re: Marrdro's favorite kicker cut
So who did they sign to replace him? Decent kickers are hard to come by right now
Re: Marrdro's favorite kicker cut
There isn't anyone to replace him right now. Unless you want vanderjerk
Re: Marrdro's favorite kicker cut
LOL, SIGN HIM.....QUICK...... ;)
JK, ole shortwell hasn't really done much to irritate me this year and those kicks into the endzone last week were amazing.
Not sure were the extra distance is coming from.
Lets hope he doesn't pop positive on a steroid test or something.
Anyone guess what was the first position I started to reasearch for the draft?
Let me give you a hint......
Aaron Pettrey, Ohio State - Height: 6-2. Weight: 198.
Pretty weak class this year IMHO.
Re: Marrdro's favorite kicker cut
Steven wasn't doing all that bad
Except for the crucial kicks.. Otherwise fairly accurate for a young cat

One thing everyone seems to forget, I don't want a FG kicker, we already have one of them.
I'm looking for a cat who can KO.
If we get a cat who can KO and P, then we could keep shortwell for his FG's.
;)

Yah, I do recall you saying try to put him on the PS and possibly give him a roster spot last year if we can to do kick offs which he is very good at
Haha that means he is ur all time favorite kicker.. I know how it goes around here :P
Cook (best RT since sliced bread) Nafahu Tahi (best FB ever) and Steven.. Can't really stand up for a player these days eh? I do like to razz you a bit tho my friend ;)

Ol Marty stirrin the pot?!
No, you do have legit statements about those players.. Cook playin a position he shouldn't have been in the first place.. Did ok strictly for that.. Can't blame him..
Tahi.. Not what we prefer.. But looks like we are using AP more as a check down so im beginning to be okay with Tahi strictly as a situational blocker (he did make a couple nice blocks last game)
