    Manning vs. Manning......Big Deal!

C'mon, someone please tell me that this whole setup was sooooooooooo great!

Don't get me wrong...........I was there, when dad, Archie signed as a back-up with the Vikes.
I've seen his past, with the terrible Saints, and have nothing but respect for him, as far as on-the-field, goes.

    Peyton:
He is in a class by himself.
Well, maybe with the likes of a Tom Brady, or EVEN..............Brad Johnson!
    Why?
Well, all three are very unselfish, all three are good teammates.
But Peyton doesn't have that ring yet. You might think that it's funny that I put Johnson in this, because he's not a glamor guy.
Well, there's one thing that I learned, growing up in Minnesota...............Just put in the work, and you'll get what you EARN.
    Brad earned this mention.

    Anyway, ELI:
Well, he's the spoiled brat of a QB, who refused to go to San Diego!
(Showing shades of Elway, on that one!)
Ya know what, I want to see San Diego crush Eli Manning every time they play him.

    Bottom line for me is:
    Peyton won!!!!!

    Good for him!!!

That was a bad call on the Jints second to the last possession.
It is fun to see the Colts move down the field, that offense is amazing.

Eli Manning tried to do what was best for him. So did Maurice Clarrett. It worked out for Manning, it didn't work so well for Clarrett. So he took a risk and so far it has paid off.

I can't knock him for doing it. Just like I can't knock superbowl champion, comeback specialist, HOF QB John Elway.

Again as usuall, there where some very bad and weak calls made this weekend by the officals.....That offensive pass interference call was pathetic......Right then and there, I knew the Giants wouldn't win that game....

Did anyone see those childhood clips of the Manning bros.?
Peyton was a pussy even back in those days.

I think pushing off even with your elbow is a pass interference.

Looked to me like the reciever just made a dam good dead on stop and turn into the pass. The defender could stop with all his momentum still taking him back, when he did he couldn't controll it.....Even if the elbow did hit the defender a bit, at some point you have to look at the whole play and call it for what it is worth....

Quick stop, nice turn into the pass, dead on pass, nice catch....

    VS

Not a very nice stop, lost controll trying to stop, may have been brushed by elbow....

    NO REASON TO THROW FLAG...

Even you should know this Del, there comes a time you have to let the players play the game and not get so nit picky.....There was two plays this weekend (probably more) where the QB's slide feet first to stop....One was the Steelers, Batch, and the Other was Green with KC...

Both where his when they where already into their slides, this is a sure flag, is it not?...

But in both cases, the refs let them play the game, and I believe mostly because what a player was doing that split second before the slide or hit to follow...Momentun has alot to do with calling a flag or not...

It was a very very poor call........

    I agree with the call.

There was clearly an extention and seperation as a result. Text book offensive pass interference.

Easy call for the ref IMO.

I believe the ref missed the roughness calls on both hits on Batch and Green and at the very least there will be a fine levied against the player who hit Green. I do not think it was the refs letting them play at all. There will be a fine. Guaranteed.

I guess this is why I love the game so much and love this site so much....What it comes down to is oppinions and how we all look at things different at times..

I guess we could look at that pass play like the 78 game Dallas VS Vikings where Pearson pushed off on ( I believe) Nate Wright......Was for sure an Offensive pass interference, which wasn't called and we lost the NFC Championship because of it.....

I do find it really hard to believe there was no call on the Green hit yesterday though, and yes, they should FINE the shit out of him......
