Jets
trade to buy the SB ring now and it didnt work.

Agreed.
Chad played well by being introduced to a brand new playbook that was original and creative.
The change of scenery was exactly what he needed, I don't think he would have done well this year in NY.
Damn, didn't see that coming.
Another prime example of a FO who made a dumb personnel move and now the HC is gonna take the fall for it.
I honestly don't think it was that dumb of a call.
Coles and Cotchery have been banged up for about half the season, which doesn't help them.
Yes Brett Favre has had TWENTY TWO interceptions this year - which is hilarious to me, but its not like they broke the bank with the deal.
Yes Brett had a big contract this year, but the only traded a conditional 4th road pick, which may result in being a higher pick, but they won't lose much in what could have turned out to be very beneficial for them

It ends up being a third round pick. The damage lies not in what you posted here but in the implications. The damage is huge in that the Jets do not have a Qb as of today (if Favre really retires lol). They don't have one on their roster that can carry them into next season and there are not many that they can go get (in hind sight, they would love to have kept Chad at least for back up dutiesor as a security blanket). Mat Cassell is going to be really sort after if he does not get an extension. Hello McNabb.

i think, for the most part, the teams that deserved to make it did.
I don't care that they didn't make the playoffs, in my opinion that shouldn't have been the reason to let him go, he's a good coach.
He'll find a new job.

Wasn't Mangini a noted D-Cord? And isn't our current D-Cord being mentioned for coaching vacancies? Just saying.

He is a proponent of the 3-4.

I'd rather see Favre out of New York and the NFL!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Agreed. Crennel and Marinelli you could see coming, but I was really surprised to see Marinelli get the axe.
