Mangini Out in NY
A league source tells us that the Jets have fired coach Eric Mangini.
The move will be announced at a 10:00 a.m. EST press conference.
Wow.

That whole ditch -the- rubber- armed QB in favor of the Rocket armed HOF'er really worked out well for that organization.
I am still waiting to hear from those who thought Pennington was a weak armed has- been.

I was so happy yesterday with the outcome of their game. So lets see..
If Brett does retire, NY has no viable back up QB or QB to take over. They had a blinder of a season with 9 wins and would be a long shot in getting a decent QB. They dont have that many traft picks to trade, they are in salary cap trouble.
What a great situation to be in? Sounds to me like they would have to embark on a QB grooming process. Talk about being penny wise (Brett F) and pound (Chad P ) foolish.

Pennington has been consistent throughout his entire career.
He would have made a great fit in MN.
Too bad Parcells was waiting for them to cut Chad and he scooped him up quickly.
I am sure with their history Parcells and Pennington were in contact during the entire Favre saga.

Here's hoping we don't duplicate that mistake and bring Favre in here.

Damn, didn't see that coming.
Another prime example of a FO who made a dumb personnel move and now the HC is gonna take the fall for it.
Is Lord Dickhead the "New Coach Killer"?
Don't think he will be on the street to long.
To damn good of a coach IMHO.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Mangini Out in NY
maybe the Jets could bring in a veteran QB who has a long pedigree, is good with the NY media and is respected by all..... Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaa
;DTime spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Re: Mangini Out in NY
Mangina made his bed when he kept throwing the ball...the very week Favre was complaining about arm pain.
A "fireable offense" by not feeding the ball more to Thomas Jones were headlines in NY papers.
I think he will get it right on his next stop...good coach IMO.
Regardless of Mangina's firing, you had to love Pennington beating the Jets and their trophy QB and leading the Dolphins into the Playoffs.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know
