LT finally faces reality: He's gone
Quote:
In a Thursday interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson acknowledged the inevitable.
He's played his last down as a Charger.
"I'm not coming back," Tomlinson said. "I've accepted it."
I wonder if he can find a job.

I am sure he will. He'd be a great replacement for Chester if he leaves. I'm sure wherever he goes he will play with a chip on his shoulder.Quote:

If you look at his stats he's dropped off pretty dramatically since that record year when he scored all those TD's. I think the best he can hope for is to get a job as the 2nd guy somewhere, he was a beast in his day though.

If he's not going to take a paycut, he'll go down the Shaun Alexander road. He most likely thinks that he can still play, end up as a 3rd string RB on some roster, get a rushing attempt or 10, mostly near the goalline, as he can still plunge it in and will be totally out of a job the year after.
I can't imagine that any team would sign him for any reason besides his name. Especially if he wants big money, he'll be out of a job for quite a while.

I don't think he will be getting that from anyone. All I did was say he would be a good replacement for Chester. I didn't imply the Vikings would pay him $5m.Quote:
