Hold off before ya start throwing this out,..If he goes downhill from here on out, well, he's just another back that had a few great years...When his days are done,...THEN the question comes up....In my opinion, Walter Payton is THE best back of all time. He could do everything GREAT.. A once in a lifetime athlete

Re: Is LT the greatest running back of all-time?

LT could very well be the best.
The best or "the greats" also has to have longevity, so he needs to get yards and years under his belt.

Jim Brown, is the exception to my rule.
He didn't play at long, retired on his own terms.

LT has the potential to be "the greatest," but remember, the terem greatest, is going to behind differently by every judge, that is why we have stats.

Who's Lawrence Taylor, he sounds like a guy that could be a drug dealer or a guy that could have been on roids.
    LOL!

    As did Robert Smith.

    LT has the potential.

    My vote, (after W.P.)
is Chuck Foreman, but then I am somewhat biased.

I have nothing wrong with hookers and meant no offense, to each their own. At least our taxes aren't going to them because they won't go out and get a fricken' job!

Re: Is LT the greatest running back of all-time?

    Barry Sanders.

Hands down the best of all time.

    5.0 YPC on his career.
3rd on the All time rushing list.

Look at the teams he played on. Emmitt SMith played on a dynasty Dallas Team, Payton played on the 85 Bears.
If he and Emmitt Smith were to swap teams Barry Sanders would be the #1 all time rusher, he'd probably have twice the yardage of the second place guy.
