Soo ahh how did that work out for ya?Up by 10 in the 3rd quarter, and 4-0, and at home, the Packers were not able to put away the
Bears. Brett Favre showed his "old self" by throwing a pass directly to Urlacher.
The Packers run is over !! Cheesehead Nation, go into mourning. Your run is OVER !!
;D ;D
As ESPN put it tonight:
"Favre had marched the Packers (4-1) up and down the field in the first half, shredding a Chicago defense that continued to look nothing like the unit that led the Bears (2-3) to the Super Bowl last season.
But the old Favre reared his ugly head late in the third quarter, when he threw a head-scratching interception to Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher that let Chicago back into the game."
Packers 5-1? Is it over yet? Packernations thanks the Vikes, salute! Good game today Vikes!
Probably a one and done in the playoffs.
you obviously didn't watch the game I suppose. In fact, it was the opposite way around. The Skins almost had the game gift wrapped for them. Packers had 2 TD's taken away by horrible calls or non calls by the refs. The Franks TD was an obvious forceout, moreso than the Olsen one last week. On the TD to Jones they flagged Tauscher for holding when it was borderline at best, yet, the entire game Kampman was being mugged/held and not one flag was thrown for that. In the end though, despite having 2 TD's taken off the board, the Pack still won.
also, I'm not sure how they'll do if they make the playoffs, but I really dont care. Going into this season I felt if they just made the playoffs it would be a success, and so far they are on track to get there. Anything after is just icing on the cake. It's great to see them improving. Weren't you guys saying in 05 that it was the start of what would be along demise for the Packers? Whoopsee, guess that was a bit premature. Now, if their GM was still the Sherminator that very well may have been the case, but the new GM has done a great job of bringing in some young talent. The future is looking bright in Green Bay
Minnesota's D is good but it's getting up there in age. They have a franchise player/stud in AP but right now he's all the Vikes have on offense.
