When it looked like he could become a Vike, I was excited but that was my heart ruling my head. LT is nowhere near the player he was and going to a team where he will see a lot of game time will only confirm it IMO.

Well good luck to him and credit to the FO for at least making an effort to get him in. It didn't work out so we move on and look at the next option, just glad we didn't get stupid in terms of paying the earth to get him signed.
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

i was never 100% sold on LT. our 0-line isnt much better than the chargers 0-line. i could just picture him getting alot of zero and negative yard plays on the vikes. AP gets too many, IMO......and he's one of the best running backs in the league.
LT isnt a power back, or a scat back. he's not the receiver westbrook is. i dont think he would have been much of a positive in the west coast offense, now that he is long in the tooth.

Ian Johnson should step up as the third down back. He is more explosive than Albert Young, and now he has a year of the playbook under his belt.

    Thats twice you said this.

I suspect two things....1) He was at your college or 2) You like that he proposed to the cheerleader.

Course another option is that you know of what you speak, but you haven't quantified any of your statements....

Case in point, in the other thread you said that IJ was bigger and faster than AY when in fact IJ is 5-11/205 lbs/4.46 - 40 were as AY is 5-10/209lbs - 4.55 40.

I can go with the faster, atleast in the timed 40 but not sure if he is bigger.

Favre reportedly tried to recruit L.T. to play for Vikes
WTF. Looks like the Noodle scared LT away.

Makes one wonder why in the hell is the Noodle sticking his nose into the recruiting process.

Where in the HELL did you get the idea that Favre scared LT away from that article? Christ Marrdro.

This was reported and posted a couple of days ago.

According to Glauser and several other sources, Favre was brought in to assure any doubts the LT had about the future of the QB position. And he did it at the request of the Vikings.

Seriously, I thought you were over your witch hunting.

I knew I should have put smileys by my post....

Edit: on a side note, you should know by now that I will never get over the Noodle being on this team.

Re:Looks like LT will be a jet

Dateline, March 2009: After visiting with Vikings brass at a swanky downtown steakhouse, a coveted Vikings free agent (T.J. Houshmandzadeh) decides to sign with the next team he visits on his free agency tour (the Seahawks).

    Fast forward one year...

Dateline, March 2010: After visiting with Vikings brass at a swanky downtown steakhouse, a coveted Vikings free agent (LaDainian Tomlinson) decides to sign with the next team he visits on his free agency tour (the Jets).

Am I sensing a pattern here?
    Are the Vikings Bad Recruiters
I think this FO has a good track record with respect to getting Vets in the door and keeping them. Heck, I remember back when there was a large contingent on here who said that we would never land FA Vets of caliber because of the Chiller.

Nope, for me, this is gotta be because the Noodle stuck his nose in it. B) (Smileys NP, Smileys) B)
