    (AP) – 52 minutes ago

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions have sold out the Thanksgiving NFL game against Green Bay, avoiding a local TV blackout.

Lions spokesman Bill Keenist confirmed the sellout Monday, one day after Detroit won its second game of the season on the final play for a 38-37 victory over the Browns.

The thriller was not shown on local TV and drew 43,170 fans to Ford Field. Detroit sold out two of its first five home games this season.

    Detroit has some loyal fans

Gotta give it up to them

It would be hard to shell out cash to go watch when you know they are probably gonna lose

What else is there to do in Detroit?

Can't wait for the Lions, led by the one and only Daunte Culpepper, to ROCK the Pack this week. Well, it can't get any worse than the loss to Tennessee last year.

    GO LIONS
    AND RICKY WILLIAMS

Aside from what V4L said, you could watch the Red wings, who are actually good, or the Pistons, who aren't as good, but could probably beat the Lions.

Great game for a Lions fan :

Lions continue tradition, falling 34-12 to Packers for sixth straight Thanksgiving loss

    http://www.startribune.com/sports/vi...rksUUUycaEacyU

DETROIT - Aaron Rodgers matched a career high with three touchdown passes and Green Bay beat the Detroit Lions 34-12 on Thursday, giving the Packers three straight wins and improving their playoff prospects.

The Lions lost their sixth straight game on Thanksgiving, setting a franchise record, and had an emotional setback after their biggest comeback win since 1957.
