ALLEN PARK -- Going into last week's game against the New Orleans Saints, the Detroit Lions planned to do a lot of blitzing.
That did not happen.
When Detroit hosts the Minnesota Vikings at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford Field, Cunningham said he hopes to blitz much more.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

Nice strategy, toss your game plan into the hands of the press before the game.

Supposedly, the best way to beat us is to blitz BF until he breaks or throws an interception.

I think it's a good strategy while Favre gets in synch with the offense. He will hold on to the ball a little longer and misfire a few passes while adjusting to his receivers. Hopefully the offense will be in synch after a few games and teams will back off the blitz after being exploited a few times.
Halo 4. Start another fight.

Let them have at it, I'm waiting for that big break out game with the Favre/Shanco connection......This should be a perfect game for it.

One thing I realized by reading that article the Lions have a hell of a LB crew.
Foote, Peterson and Sims.
Not too shabby.

+1, Can you say 3 and 5 step drops, ball is out quick and the motor city kitties will be out of alignment, and over commited.

Re: Lions look to blitz more in Week 2 against Vikings
Why give your game plan to the press?
WHY?
I mean, it's not a big surprise that they're going to blitz the hell out of us, but why make it public?
If nothing else this should only help Peterson, and probably Shank.
Berrian is banged up anyways so the long ball probably isn't likely this week either...unless Harvin comes through.
