You could be right, but in all honesty this might be exactly what they need. The Lions have talent on their team, they just can't bring it all together. Maybe they need something like this to get their butts into gear. I just hope the coach doesn't take it to far.

Matt Millen and Joe Buck would make a nice couple.

I think the safest bet anyone can make in the history of the universe is that Charles Rogers won't be playing a full season this year.

Can anybody tell me one reason why Matt Millen still has a job?

Because he makes great personnel decisions?

Anyhow, I don't think the type of practice they run will really make a difference. These guys are professionals, and a few full contact practices aren't going to make or break their season. It seems like the coach is just trying to show his dominance over the team.

    NO!

    There is no reason.

Well I can think of one but I would probably get kicked off the site if I write it down, but it does involve Ford's lap and Millen's head.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I have no problem with players playing full contact in training camp, but it isn't necessarily a wise move. They have complicated playbooks to master and need to make sure they know all their assignments on any given play. Smashing each others skulls in doesn't necessarily translate into learning the plays. Multi-millionare players getting hurt in camp does nobody any good.
their receivers/linemen are all constantly injured..this is the last thing they need to do, but as a vikings fan, i wont complain..a couple more broken legs at the WR position for lions players wouldnt hurt the vikes one bit

Who could forget that security officer chasing down the fan with that little sign he was holding. Priceless. Made the front office look like even worse. Then they kept panning over to Millen as he sat back and watched. Oh that was great.
