Lions already negotiating with their No. 1 pick

Lions have already started negotiations with their No. 1 pick

theredzone.org

Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com reports the talks are only preliminary and the real target has yet to be identified, but the Detroit Lions are already in the process of negotiating a contract with their first-round draft pick....

I hope they don't let it out of the bag.
Kindof ruins the draft.

Sort of tells me that they aren't interested in trading that pick away ti somehow get Cutler.

I don't think Denver wants that pick if they are negotiating with Detroit.
Makes alot more sense to trade them and get thier number 20 and pick up Freeman if they are looking for a young QB to groom behind Pepp.

Way less risk in cost (number 1's are to damn expensive now) and not as much would be expected out of him right away.

Detroit taking Jason Smith? Rams on the clock?

Take this with a grain of salt or two, but KFFL is reporting that the Detroit Lions are negotiating with the player they plan to draft first overall this year. And who is that player you ask?
