We could give them Smoot and our #7 for their #2...LOL!!!
It's too bad we already released Smoot *doh

But seriously this gives me that suspecting feeling of them nabbing Calvin Johnson. DA MN YOU MATT MILLEN DON'T YOU DARE!
if he goes to detroit then you can expect 1 good game, followed by a season ending injury..thats just the way it goes for their 1st round receivers

Any RB does well behind that Denver line, now lets see what Bell has when running behind Detroit's line.. He is no Barry Sanders, so my guess is he will have some problems..

Bly and Bailey on the same team.. Wow, teams are going to have problems passing against that duo..

Bell wasn't that good in Denver anyway!

You have definite confirmation on the Smoot release???
    I must have missed that!
I do not. But I assume they will soon if they havn't. With Smoot's attitude and teams knowing we are going to release him anyways, I doubt we can get anything valueable in return. Eh..actually maybe a 6th round or something.
Because I'm a Vikings fan, they are that much sexier.

Cajun, he wasn't that bad for not being an every down RB.. That would be like Mewelde Moore having over a 1,000 yards rushing for us.. I would take that any day of the week..

Lions | Pick received from Denver as part of trade compensation
    Thu, 1 Mar 2007 11:26:57 -0800

Updating previous reports, Michael Smith, of ESPN.com, reports the Denver Broncos also traded an undisclosed draft choice, which is believed to be a fifth-round pick, to the Detroit Lions in exchange for CB Dre' Bly. As reported, the Broncos also parted ways with RB Tatum Bell and OT George Foster.

Very interesting. Isn't Bly and Bailey cousins? Anyways I do think denver is going to have a solid secondary if they can solidify the SS spot.

Lions | Team to keep T. Bell on trade market?
    Fri, 2 Mar 2007 09:22:22 -0800

John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports there are indications the Detroit Lions may keep RB Tatum Bell, recently acquired by the Denver Broncos, on the trade market between now and the NFL Draft to judge his value around the league, and then make a decision on him based on how free agency and the draft plays out. The Lions may be willing to trade Bell if the price was right.

    GIANTS INTERESTED IN BELL
    pft.com

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that the New York giants are interested in swinging a deal with the Lions for newly-acquired running back Tatum Bell.

As we mentioned on Thursday, the Lions could end up trading either Bell or tackle George Foster, both of whom were obtained from the Broncos in the Dre' Bly trade.

The Giants are in the market for a new tailback after the retirement of TiVi Barber.
Brandon Jacobs has showing promise as a short-yardage and goal-line specialist.
