It's good to know that the Vikings aren't the only team getting screwed. If the coach is crying like that I can't imagine what the fans must be saying.

It's so funny. People were calling for Linehan's head while he was in Minnesota. He had some very questionable calls as OC with us. I would definitely take him over Bevell but some people on here were very excited when we lost Linehan and got Loney. Not to say I wouldn't love him here again but it's funny to remember how fickle we can be.

I doubt Linehan comes here though. He has no prior ties with Wilf or Childress, only the Vikings organization as a whole.
I think the majority of fans could not see the impact Linehan had on our offense until he left, and our offense hasn't even been average since.
Yah, he did make some "questionable" call at inopportune times of the game (the roll out INT Moss threw in the redzone against the Seahawks comes to mind), but at least he could put together a gameplan and tutor our players better than any coaches we have now.

...At the end of practice Thursday, as the team gathered around its head coach, Scott Linehan paced intensely. ... But the exchange was spiced with four-letter words.
    ...
Team sources later said that offensive guard Claude Terrell "mouthed off" during practice at Linehan, which led to Linehan's angry outburst...

    Why do we want him?

He left us, so why do we want him back?

Who cares if he's available next season or not?
    He's not that great.

I would rather have Schotty as our coach.

Decent offensive coordinator...in fact, Culpepper seemed lost without him.
I was wrong, thought he would be a good head coach...may still be, but not here, not now.
    Next.
