Cardinals | Leinart sets rookie passing record
    Mon, 27 Nov 2006 12:22:51 -0800

Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart's 405 passing yards in Week 12 was an NFL record for a rookie quarterback. Leinart surpassed QB Jake Plummer, who threw for 388 yards as a member of the Cardinals in 1997 versus the New York Giants.

Of course it was against us, but at least we won.

That's what happens when you throw the ball 51 times.

I hate when records are set against us, it hurts almost as bad as when they show clips of playoff games we lost over the years. Hopefully Cutler breaks the record..

    well.. it doesnt matter..

    A- we won the game
B- it's not like he's the next joe montana... the game plan was for him to pass against the best run defense in the NFL.. no wonder he got so many yards..

what that stat also doesnt show is that he threw two INTS along with his hundreds of yards
i m better than you, so just give up...

He should have had more yards if he threw 51 times. It's a record, but not that impressive, especially in a losing effort. What the heck, lots of players have set records against the Vikings-Dorsett,Payton,Vick, I'm sure there are others. The Vikes seem to be in every teams' highlight reel. :
