    This guy's M. O. has always been: inpressive as a back-up.
    Tanks as a starter.
He was bumped by David Garrard.

    Some guys fold under pressure.
    Let the Bears have him.
Ummm....as far as I know, until Garrard took over (and that was ORIGINALLY due to injury), Leftwich was never a backup.
So - how can you say that's his "MO"?

    =Z=

Agreed , Leftwich is a Brad Johnson in the mobility department , but has a rifle arm and is pretty accurate. I would like to see him in purple wether it's starting or backing someone up , thats for the coaches to decide.
Why do people want yet another failure at the QB position to play for the Vikings?

Honestly, the Vikes have developed quite the "Environment for Mediocrity" in Minny.

lol... so true!!!... but that's the viking way!!!
This is the way I interpret talking to Vikings fans:

Cancer patient: I think the cancer has a right to be eating away at my lungs.

Me: But... the cancer is killing you. Don't you want to get rid of it?

Cancer patient: No, it has a plan and I want to see it through.

Me: But by that point... it won't even matter.

    Cancer patient: Show me proof.

Me: What? You want proof that cancer is killing you?

Cancer patient: See, you can't prove anything. The cancer is going to make everything better!

    The End.

Just wanted to bump this because I'm hilarious... and it's a very accurate analogy as well.

    LMAO. ;D

All I would like is Chilly to bring in someone that will compete with TJ. It might even make him a better QB...isn't that a refreshing thought?

My guess is it will be Trent Green.

Isn't he too young with too many NFL starts to be attractive to Childress?

I was thinking Akili Smith. He has KAO written all over him.

Re: Leftwich on Bears: 'Tell them to look me up'

Leftwich is just one of many guys who will be looking for their "second chances" this offseason. Leftwich, Losman, Alex Smith and Derek Anderson are all former starters ... with flashes of VERY good to GREAT play that will be hoping to rejuvenate their careers somewhere.
I personally would not mind and of them coming in here and competing with TJ and would not even mind if any of them beat him out for the gig.
Competition can only be a good thing at this point I think.

He was extremely mediocre (right up Chilly's alley) the whole time starting in Jax.
Yes Garrard took over due to his being injured, but we all saw who was kept when he came back.
Obviouly, Del Rio saw it my way, otherwise he would have given him his job back and not dumped him.

Yeah ... but you did say it was his "MO" to play well as a backup ... which simply is not the case sense he has never really played as a backup except in Pittsburgh.
He was kind of mediocre in Jax ... that is a fair assessment ... but stating him "playing well as a backup" as his MO is flat out wrong since we have very little sample size of this other than this year.

OK then let me rephrase that.
His MO is the he TANKS AS A STARTER, and plays well as a back-up.
    Happy now???

    You should talk.
You said the Vikes playoff record in the dome was better than 4-3.
Now it is 4-4. Home field advantage my @ss.

Where is your evidence to back-up you assessment of the record being better than 4-4???
    I've been waiting!
