PITTSBURGH -- Byron Leftwich thought he was headed to the Bears in 2003, when he was coming out of Marshall and they held the fourth pick in the draft.....

Heck, he could win a ring this year with the Steelers.

    This guy's M. O. has always been: inpressive as a back-up.
    Tanks as a starter.
He was bumped by David Garrard.

    Some guys fold under pressure.
    Let the Bears have him.

He's definitely an upgrade from what the Bears have now.

You may be right, we already have that position filled.
But maybe we can make this work. Just have both on the roster and not announce the starter until game time.

I felt he played well in jacksonville without any WRs. In fact there was a huge controvesity when he was benched. He didn't play poorly. He is still an upgrade here.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at him.

Ummm....as far as I know, until Garrard took over (and that was ORIGINALLY due to injury), Leftwich was never a backup.
So - how can you say that's his "MO"?

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
