The NFL has no interest in doing Devin Hester any favors, so there will be no "Devin Hester rule" passed any time soon.

I had not heard of it described exactly as the "Hester Rule", but they were talking about outlawing direction punting a couple of months back.
Hell - there were Kluwe quotes on it.

I believe directional punting is an art/strategy that should remain in the game.

Actually this is the first time I have heard of it... maybe I did before but thought it was such a stupid idea that I just brain dumped it right away.
Thank God it was rejected.
