Later round picks
What have been the best picks after the second round in the draft in the last 5 years? Either a vikings player or just any NFL player.

Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!

Re: Later round picks
I agree with Zeus.
For the Vikings the best must be the pick of Mewelde Moore in the 4th in 2004
Going a little further back than 5 years on of the all time best late round picks (at least that I can remember) must be to take Birk in the 6th in '98
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Later round picks
these players aren't the best but they made a difference and would be considered a steal at the round. I probably missed quite a few so if you don't see somebody, post it up.
Brian Westbrook 26 pick of the 3rd round in 02 by the eagles.
Aaron Kampman 21 pick of the 5th round in 02, seattle traded pick to GB
Chestor Taylor? 35th pick of the 6th round in 02 by the ravens
David Givens 42nd pick of the 7th round in 02 by the patriots
Lance Briggs #4 of the 3rd round in 03 by the bears
Jason Witten #5 of the 3rd round in 03 by the cowboys
some might say domanick davis when he is healthy? #4 pick of the 4rth round in 03 by the texans
and undrafted in 03 was tony romo
04:
Jason David? 29th pick of the 4rth round by the colts from philly through atlanta
and willie parker was an udrafted rookie picked up by the steelers
05:
Frank Gore #1 pick of the 3rd round by the 49ers
chris harris #7 of the 6th round by the bears
06:
Marques Colston #44 of the 7th round by the saints.
we may see more players from this draft explode later.
that is a few players, some of them are questionable and some i might have missed.
Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!

Re: Later round picks
Three bubble up without question, in this order:
1)
Colston
2)
Fast Willie Parker
3)
tie between Briggs and Kampman
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Re: Later round picks
Tom Brady misses the 5 years because he was drafted in 2000 in the 6th round he was the 199 player taken overall, he has to be in the top 5 all time late round picks.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
