    Re: Kyle Turley a TE??

SO the thing I dont get is... If Turley was so impressive as a TE at the Dolphins why did they let him slip over to KC?

Chiefs | Turley agrees to two-year deal
    Sun, 11 Jun 2006 11:13:14 -0700

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports free agent OT/TE Kyle Turley (Rams) is about to make his return after being gone from the league for two years. Turley has agreed in principle on a two-year deal to join the Kansas City Chiefs. The deal has yet to be completed, but the Chiefs believe that will happen Monday, June 12, when he also takes a physical for the team. Turley has agreed to play tackle in Kansas City, but they may also utilize him as a tight end, too. Turley has reportedly dropped around 50 pounds since he used to play tackle with the New Orleans Saints.

    Re: Kyle Turley a TE??

This is so weird. I live in Kansas City and I am fairly knowledgeable about the Chiefs. They have Tony Gonzalez to be "the guy" at TE. But they also have Jason Dunn, a big guy who specializes in blocking, but can grab some catches in the redzone. As if that's not enough, they have 3rd-year man Kris Wilson out of Pittsburgh. He was a 2nd-round pick who has seen an increasing amount of snaps. So my question is, how does Kyle Turley fit in?

Half-time entertainment. His band will play a few tunes to keep the squad fired up.

I met Kyle Turley and got his autograph in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This was after I won the 2004 Madden Challenge, he was there because he was out for the season.

    And so was Jeremy Newberry.

Turley will fit in fine as the backup TE...he may even surprise people with his athleticism and hands. He might even be another Wiggins!

I read somewhere that he will be used as a right tackle. Sorry, can't remember where I read it.

I think he'll do fine. I like his smash-mouth attitude.

Not all TE's can run. They may be considering using him as a blocking TE in goalline sets and on special teams.
    Look at Wiggins!

Thank you Josdin for the sig

the Chiefs plan on using Turley at right tackle. If he doesn't start there, he will back up either the right or left side. He not only lost weight, but he has also cut his hair.
