Although it's unlikely that Warner would come to the Vikes, we should still make him a offer. He fits our scheme and would be a mentor to Tarvaris or Booty, or a rookie.

AGENT SAYS WARNER WILL PLAY IN 2009, BUT WHERE?

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/02/20/agent-says-warner-will-play-in-2009-but-where/

“He’s decided he’s going to play,” agent Mark Bartelstein said, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times.
    “He’s made up his mind.
He wants to play and he always wanted to play.”
First, the Vikings play in a dome, Warner’s preferred environment.

Second, they have the best running back in the game right now, which creates all sorts of opportunities in the passing game.

Third, they play in a relatively weak division.

Fourth, this year’s schedule includes three road games in domes, including trips to St. Louis and Arizona.

Fifth, the Vikings dismantled the Cardinals on their home field in mid-December.

John Clayton of ESPN reports that the Cardinals are willing to pay Warner in the range of $8 million to $10 million on a two-year deal with a team option for a third season.
But Warner, per Clayton, is looking for money that would put him in the neighborhood of the five highest-paid quarterbacks.

If there’s another team that’s willing to pay Warner what he wants, chances are that his agent already knows.
    I would pay that man.

I think Mrs. Warner would look mighty fine sporting a vikes jersey on sundays.
Hopefully Warner has fantasized about seeing her in the purp and gold.
