Why don't you post your resume and we'll all decide who knows more about sports? Perhaps you do have a problem "picking up sarcasm", because Kornheiser's columns are rife with it.
How does a resume prove knowledge?
Sid has written for fifty years and doesn't have a clue more than half the time.
Kornheiser's columns are great.
I think he is a great writer.
How does writing a great column translate to broadcasting?
It doesn't.

The guys a moron, i didn't know who you guys where talking about when u made this thread but as soon as i seen him in the booth i damn near reached for the mute button. His jokes are not funny, his facts arn't very straingt. He was talking like the fans had this major hate against moss then he acted surprised our fans cheered him. I don't know i think they could have got somebody else.

Re: Kornheiser's debut tonight on MNF...
Maybe I am glad I watched the first half in a bar with no sound.
Now back in my hotel room (Eastern NC tonight) with the sound up, but fortunately I missed all the Loveboat commentary.
Since none of them in this town were going to have the volume up in them, I chose the restaurant tonight based on the one (Lonestar) that had the 42" Plasma TV.
I plan on celebrating Thursday which is the first day my kids are out of the house and back in school by sitting around my home office and rewatching the first half (with sound) on TiVo and watching the PGA Championship.
Man what a great day of TV vegging that will be.
I hate those days when I start drinking beer before noon on a weekday watching sports, I feel like such a borderline lowlife.

Re: Kornheiser's debut tonight on MNF...
OK I see what you are saying.
I have only been watching for a few minutes with sound, and Kornheiser said "Loveboat" twice and "Original Wizzinator" once.
So I am officially tired of him already.

TK has been great so far..looking forward to how he does all season long
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

Re: Kornheiser's debut tonight on MNF...
Every comment he makes is a question.
"That was a good pass, wasn't it?".
"That should've been an interception, right?".
"Someone should've caught that, right guys?".
Pathetic.
This whole crew stinks.
I miss the Sunday Night guys.
Give me Mike Patrick and Paul Maguire anyday.
