I'll still put more money on Allen staying sober than KoRo.
What makes you say that.........just a warm fuzzy?
Allen's sobriety was a personal choice.
    KoRo's was court ordered.

In my own humble experience, I have seen much better results with the former.

Do you have proof of that? I believe you have that backwards.

K-Rob's treatment was voluntary both times NOT court ordered.

In July, reports surfaced that Koren Robinson had voluntarily checked himself into a rehab facility to seek further treatment
    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2551018

At the advice of family, friends and his agent, and "just about at rock bottom," the former North Carolina State star checked into a 30-day treatment center in Charleston, S.C., that specializes in alcohol addiction. Four weeks later, sober for the first time in years and clear-headed enough to realize he didn't want to squander his athletic skills and regret having wasted a career, Robinson exited as a new man.

Jared Allen was court ordered to spend 2 days in lock down at a treatment facility.

Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen pleaded no contest Wednesday in Leawood Municipal Court to his second charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Judge Renee Gurney found him guilty and sentenced him to two days in jail, two days in a lockdown drug-treatment program and one day of house arrest. Allen is to enter the treatment program at 5 p.m. Friday and report to the Johnson County Jail at 5 p.m. Sunday. Upon his release, he will serve one day under house arrest. (Kansas City Star)

    I stand corrected.
I know that KoRo checked himself in voluntarily the last time, but I believe his first was court ordered.
But I was unaware that Allen was under order as well.

Here is to hoping and trusting Allen's coaches and friend who also believe he is over it.

FYI, I am curious if people distinguish between people with a drinking problem and an alcoholic.
In my eyes, an alcoholic is someone who is addicted to alcohol.
A person with a drinking problem has problems when they drink.
The two are not necessarily the same.

Didn't we have him befor? What happened to him? Did we cut him? Was he bolstering our WR corps?
He was proberly our number one reciever in the last season with Tice as head coach, Childress came in, liked what he had gave him a chance to play, given that his track record with alchohol was a scare..

We offered him a 3 year deal to be a Viking for the coming seasons, he signed it.. was happy to get a chance to prove himself over again.. a couple of months later, he tried to flee from the police, when they tried to stop him for speeding, he had been drinking, he cut him and he filed grievence against us for the bonus money and such, i doont think he ever got anything out of that..

But he the entire Minnesota Vikings down as a person for doing that..

Over the past two seasons, the Green Bay Packers invested a considerable amount of time, energy and patience in wide receiver Koren Robinson....
