Given that a regular-season game the magnitude of today's showdown between unbeaten New England (5-0) and Dallas (5-0) is so rare, we should go ahead and let ourselves get lost in the buildup.

After all, this game will mark just the fifth time in NFL history - and just the third since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970 - that two teams with records of at least 5-0 have met....
