    Keyshawn Johnson to retire, join ESPN

    Keyshawn Johnson has declined an offer from the Tennessee Titans and has decided to retire.

    The wide receiver, who also expected to receive an offer from the Oakland Raiders, is expected to announce his decision at a Wednesday afternoon news conference at his alma mater of USC, his agent, Jerome Stanley, told ESPN.com's John Clayton.

    Johnson will pursue a broadcasting career with ESPN.

    I wonder if this is a ploy by the Meeeeshawn camp to get a team (say GB or Vikes) to offer a deal?

    I still contend that he won't sign someplace until after Minicamp when coaches and staff have a chance to assess current talent on the roster, see who else gets cut and plug holes as needed.

    I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

    He has been less of a head case lately.
    I would not have minded seeing him in the purple and gold for a season to work with our young receivers
