Kendall Sent To Skins
KENDALL SENT TO 'SKINS
From PFT
I would have liked to pick him up for our right side.A league source tells us that the Jets have sent guard Pete Kendall to the Washington Redskins.
It is believed that Washington sent a fourth-round pick to the Jets in exchange.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

Business as usual. Don't we have any players that would get cut anyway to send to them for whatever they have left.Soon the skins won't have any draft picks.

I'm thinking about it this way.
Our last two fourth round draft picks, Edwards and Robison, are most assuredly going to be critical parts of a ferocious defense.
I think I've convinced myself that a 4th round draft choice is too high of a price.
Certainly valid arguments both ways.
The front office must be reasonably comfortable with what they've seen so far.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

I agree...the price was too high...not only the draft choice, but the amount of money that Kendall wanted to renegotiate his contract."COJOMAY" wrote:

actually it is a conditional 4th rounder for 2009 or a fifth rounder for 2008, I wouldn't have minded giving up a fifth rounder in next year's draft to solidify imo the only weakness on the line, Cook has been impressive and looks like he will be fine @ RT but the hicks/herrera situation at RG scares me.... maybe we can use memo or one of the safeties as trade bait for a team in need of depth at those positions?KENDALL SENT TO 'SKINS

That seems to be the case every year with that team, they end up having only 2 or 3 picks to work with on draft daySoon the skins won't have any draft picks.

Remember though...Kendall wasn't guaranteed to start for the Jets...he made out like a bandit in Washington...he got more money AND he is locked in as the starter from Day 1."COJOMAY" wrote:
